Throughout the month of August, a 250-foot dirt track in rural Edneyville, North Carolina, known as “Edneyville Motor Speedway” by Larry Phillips, who served as President of the Apple Country Engine and Tractor Association for nine years, is prepared.
The Apple Country Engine and Tractor Association has over 100 members. A “full pull” is 200 feet. Some pulls don’t allow tractors older than 1964. The point is to see how much pulling power can be obtained from older, non-turbocharged engines.
