Trailer Buying Experience at Tractor Supply
Because Tractor Supply is the only real store within 20 miles of my farm, I couldn’t live with all the half-broken ATVs, mowers, and other equipment strewn about, and the only way to get them to the shop was to get a trailer.
The quality of construction among individual trailers varies greatly. Four of the 6×8’s had missing end caps on the tubular rails. One had a dangling pipe holding wires across the back, which was supposed to be welded. I bought that same 6×8 trailer in 2012 and it is still going strong.
Tractor Supply is the only store within 20 miles of my farm that always has what I need at a reasonable price, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Back in 2002, I was at a TSC in need of a larger trailer, and they only had a 2000 model 6×12. Yes, I could borrow one, but loading this stuff into my pickup alone was becoming nearly impossible, so off to Tractor Supply I went.
I bought a little Tractor Supply 4’x6′ trailer several years ago that had the wrong springs on it (too “flat”) or a cross brace on it that had been welded on incorrectly. Buying broken stuff that you can fix can be a real value. Just some Hillbilly welding trailers in his backyard while cooking Meth or making moonshine. Proudly made in the USA.
