The Evinrude Lawn-Boy was the first one-handed reel power mower introduced to the American public; Ole Evinrude and Stephen F. Briggs were pioneers in the field of outboard motor manufacturing; Outboard Marine Corporation (OMMC) manufactured lawnmowers during WWII; The Toro Company purchased it from Outboard Marine Corporation in 1989.
