Tractors in North America were first domesticated in the 1800s, and the native plains tractor is considered one of the true pioneers of the West. “Tractors are hard workers, plowing through the fields on a nice warm day, and then falling asleep under the moonlight.”

All of the tractors, including Frank, make appearances in Cars 2 and later in McQueen’s dream of winning the Piston Cup with Mater.
Mater and the Ghostlight
Mater’s screams cause some of the tractors in Frank’s field to tip over, and Mater believes he is being pursued by the ghostly light in Mater and the Ghostlight.
Planes
During Dusty’s training montage in Disneytoon Studios’ Planes, some tractors appear; later in India, when Ishani is talking to Dusty, a tractor passes them; and during their journey to the Taj Mahal, they fly over a few fields full of tractors.
The Radiator Springs 500½
Some tractors appear on a racetrack in The Radiator Springs 500u00bd, confusing the racers; Mater tells McQueen, Sandy Dunes, Shifty Sidewinder, Blue Grit, and Idle Threat to go left, but they instead go right.
Planes: Fire & Rescue
They play a group of tractors who meet up with other tractors in a field after crossing the road at Propwash Junction.
Cars 3
Lightning and Cruz Ramirez are forced to race through a stampede in the latest James McQueen film, and during the final race, Cruz imagines the racers as tractors when told to “take advantage of it” when the window opens.
Cars: The Video Game
They only appear in Tractor Tipping in Cars: The Video Game, where the goal is to tip all of the tractors before time runs out while avoiding being caught by Frank or the lamps.
Cars: Radiator Springs Adventures
They appear in the game Tractor Roundup in Cars: Radiator Springs Adventures, where the goal is to tip all of the tractors before they get loose and drive all over town.
Cars: Mater-National Championship
They appear in the Tractor Tipping minigame in Cars Mater-National Championship, where the goal is to tip all of the tractors before time runs out while avoiding being caught by Frank or the lamps.
Cars: Race-O-Rama
They appear in a minigame called Tractor Stampede in Cars Race-O-Rama, where there are tractors stampeding all over Radiator Springs, and the goal is to tip all ten before time runs out – with no Frank to worry about.
Cars 2: The Video Game
If you tip three tractors in any location you find them, you can earn the “Tractor Tipping” badge. Tractors also appear in Cars 2: The Video Game, alongside Frank the Mechanic and his sidekick, Roddy McDowall.
Planes: The Video Game
In Planes: The Video Game, Dusty has to save the tractors because Propwash Junction’s runway is next to a field owned by a farmer named Pete, and in the Blown out of Proportions level, Dusty must use a magnet to return them to their field.
Disney Infinity
Tractors can be unlocked in the Toy Box modes of the second and third games by placing the Cars Play Set piece on the INFINITY base.
Disney Parks
Baby Tractors pull carts that guests ride in in Radiator Springs Racers and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, and the tractors dance in figure eights when Mater sings.
